Import Mixpanel Data

This guide walks you through exporting your event data from Mixpanel and importing it into Alytica using a CSV file.

Step 1: Export Event Data from Mixpanel

1. Log into your Mixpanel account and go to the project that contains the data you want to export.

2. Navigate to Explore or Events from the left-hand menu.

3. Use the filters and date range selector to choose the events and time period you'd like to export.

4. Once your data is ready:

   • Click the Export button (usually in the top-right).
   • Choose CSV as the export format.

5. Download the CSV file to your computer and check that it includes:

   • Event names
   • Timestamps
   • Any relevant properties (e.g. user_id, device, etc.)

Tip: No need to rename columns — Alytica automatically maps the data during import.

Step 2: Import CSV into Alytica

1. Log into your Alytica account.

2. Navigate to:
   Project Settings → Analytics → Import Data

3. Click Upload CSV and select the Mixpanel file you exported.

4. That’s it! Alytica will automatically detect and map your event data.

Note: The import process may take a few seconds depending on the file size.

Step 3: Review Your Data

Once the upload is complete:

• Go to your Analytics dashboard.
• Explore your events, funnels, and insights powered by the newly imported Mixpanel data.
